Amal Clooney
Amal Clooney is an American-Lebanese barrister, human rights activist and an philanthropist. Her birth name is Amal Ramzi Al-Amuddin. A graduate of Oxford University and New York University School of Law her long and accomplished profession in the areas of human rights and international law has won her international recognition. The clients she has worked with have been several nation-states including the country of Armenia in its fight for recognition of Armenia's participation in the Armenian Genocide by the Turkish government. Amal Clooney arranged for American actor George Clooney to marry him in 2014, and instantly became a household-name in popular entertainment. Before that, she'd already been well known within the legal community in her ability to defend clients. Her work spans from social justice issues and human rights to representing multinational corporations during the negotiation process or litigating cases involving government regulations.
