Alexandra-Maria-Lara
Alexandra Maria Lara is a Romanian-German film and television actress popular for her work in films like Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. The only one child to Romanian acting star Valentin Platareanu Alexandra stepped into the world of show business early, and ended up performing lead roles in various shows on television by the time she reached the age of 16. Her acclaimed and critically acclaimed performance in the television film made for TV Der Tunnel paved way for more notable roles like that as Adolf Hitler's secretary Traudl Junge in the commercially and critically successful Oscar nominated historic war drama film Downfall. The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex are two other Oscar nominated features featuring female stars. Over the years Alexandra has appeared in many important international and national productions. The most notable of these include British biographical Control Greek drama film The Dust of Time and French history mini-series Napoleon in addition to other projects. Additionally, she was part of both the Cannes Film Festival jury and Transylvania International Film Festival.
